KVK checks whether companies listed in the Business Register are still active by comparing the entries in the Business Register with the database of the Netherlands Tax Administration. If a business is inactive, KVK sends a letter. If the company does not respond within 4 weeks, it will be deregistered. Deregistration means the company will no longer be in the Business Register.
It can be difficult to determine exactly what constitutes an active business, which is why KVK bases its decisions on several fixed criteria. View all criteria.
Your business is active
Did you receive a letter from KVK, but is your business still active? Then send documents to prove that to the email address mentioned in the letter. Examples are your income tax return or recent (purchase) invoices. Please mention your KVK number in your email message.
