Log in via My KVK to register an establishment of a vereniging (association) or a stichting (foundation) online.
Do I need to register the establishment?
You need to register if:
- you use a building for an activity, and
- if the activity continues for more than 6 months
More than one establishment
Does the vereniging or stichting have more than one establishment? Then decide which will be the primary establishment (the head office). Report this to KVK. We will put the information in the Business Register.
Report multiple buildings as an establishment
Are there several buildings on the premises of the establishment? And do all buildings have the same address? We refer to this as a complex of buildings. You may report this as a single establishment.Â
Use a home address as an establishment
A director's home address is not an establishment.
How do I register the establishment?
Login to My KVK using the button at the bottom of this page. Follow the steps and sign the form online. Add proof that you are permitted to use the address as the visiting address for the establishment. You can upload:
- a copy of the rental, purchase or lease agreement signed by both parties
- proof from the Kadaster (Land Registry Office)
Does the association or foundation have a business?
A vereniging or stichting can have a business if you meet certain conditions. These are the entrepreneurial criteria. In short, you must independently supply products or services to others in return for payment. The profit you make must be used for the purpose of the vereniging or stichting. Â
How do I register a business?
Use form 8: Registration Company of a legal entity to register your first commercial establishment. You will receive an establishment number. Send the completed and signed form by post to a KVK office. You also need to send:
- a copy of the rental, purchase or lease agreement for the new visiting address, signed by both parties
- a copy of a valid proof of identity of the person signing the form
Additional information about taxes
You can read more about the taxes for stichtingen and verenigingen on the website of the Netherlands Tax (in Dutch):
- corporate income tax: paying taxes on the profits from the business.
- VAT:Â depending on your activities, your business may be registered for VAT.
- paying payroll taxes: if you employ staff
