Filing financial statements yourself

Does your legal entity fall into the micro or small business category? You can use the online service for filing your financial statements yourself (Zelf Deponeren Jaarrekening) with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce KVK.

What are the benefits?

  • You receive immediate confirmation by email with a PDF copy of your financial statements.
  • Your financial statements are visible, retrievable, and verifiable in the Business Register immediately after submission.
  • Your financial statements will be available in a standardised universal format (XBRL).

How does it work?

You can file your financial statements yourself in 3 ways:

  • login with your email address and password. You must be authorised to file.
  • login with an eHerkenning token with at least security level 2 (EH2), or
  • login with an access code that is linked to the legal entity for which you are filing financial statements.

Medium-sized companies can only file by logging in with their email address and password.

You will find an in-depth explanation (in Dutch) in the handleiding zelf deponeren jaarrekening (filing financial statements yourself manual, pdf).

Filing your financial statements yourself for intermediaries

You can use Zelf Deponeren Jaarrekening if you are an intermediary and file one or more financial statements each year. You file the financial statements using eHerkenning and an authorisation from your client.

If you file financial statements for several micro and small private limited companies, it is also possible to link these to a single eHerkenning token (EID token). Your clients authorise you in writing or using their own eHerkenning token. If you submit comparatively large numbers of financial statements each year, filing will be easier and more efficient for you if you use financial software (SBR).
