Reduce your risks: check the Business Register extract

You have a new business partner. You want to know if this person is who they say they are. With a Business Register extract you can check who you are doing business with. This way, you reduce the risk of being scammed.

All companies and organisations in the Netherlands are listed in the Business Register. You can look up basic information such as the KVK number and trade name for free. For additional information on your business partner, you can buy an extract. This is an up-to-date overview of a company or organisation's registered information.

What does an extract contain?

An extract shows, for example, who is the owner, sole shareholder, director, or authorised representative of a company. This is important if you are going to work with someone. It tells you whether your contact person is authorised to sign on behalf of the company and can therefore make certain decisions. You will also see the date of incorporation, address details, and whether a company is bankrupt. Read more about what information is important to check when you want to know if your business partner is reliable.
