You can also use form 17a to indicate what happens after the vof, cv, maatschap or shipping company is dissolved. Does the business end (termination) or does it continue with a new owner (continuation)?

Transfer of the business

With a continuation, individuals from both parties (the transferor and the transferee) need to fill in a number of forms. Read more about which forms are needed in that situation.

Sometimes you both have to visit the KVK office. Sometimes you can send the forms by post. Avoid delays in the transfer by submitting the forms as one package to the KVK.

Legal advice

KVK can only process the dissolution of the business in the Business Register if all partners, associates, or members agree. They agree by each adding a signature to question 3 of form 17a.

If you cannot manage to get all signatures on paper, contact a legal advisor before filling in and sending Form 17a.

Entering an address

KVK may only enter addresses in the Business Register that are listed in the Addresses and Buildings key register (BAG). Use the BAG Viewer to check whether the address of the company or legal person is correct. Think of street name, house number, addition (such as 24a or 24b) or destination (such as shop premises).

If something is not correct, you can report the error on the BAG Viewer website. Do not send form 17a to the KVK until the BAG contains the correct details.
