Decentralised political office holders may encounter intimidation, violence, or other threatening situations because of their profession. In the event of such a foreseeable threat, the public office holder may hide the visiting address of their company or legal entity (with the exception of a bv or an nv) in the Business Register. One condition is that the professional association of office holders has agreed on shielding criteria with KVK. The decentralised political office holders and KVK have set out these agreements in a covenant.
When are you eligible?
- You are a decentralised political public office holder when you do work as stated in the definition of decentralised political public office holder and if you are registered as such on the website of the governmental for which you work.
You can request to shield your visiting address with this form (in Dutch). This is appendix B from the covenant.
