Make an appointment to visit

Do you want to visit KVK? Make an appointment online first. You may not have to make an appointment, we also offer services online. Check whether you have to visit us, and if so, make an appointment at the KVK office of your choice.

Making an appointment

You must make an appointment before you visit the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce KVK. Many matters can easily be dealt with online. So check whether you really need an appointment.
You should make an appointment for the following purposes:

  • registering a new sole proprietorship, professional partnership, general partnership (vof), or limited partnership (cv);
  • registering a foundation or association that operates an enterprise or engages in commercial activities;
  • adding new executive staff members (such as a director, partner, or authorised representative). Please note that new executive staff members of foundations, associations, or owners’ associations that do not operate an enterprise can register by post;
  • acquiring an existing business;
  • changing the legal form.

You can make an appointment online by logging in with DigiD. You plan the date, time, and location yourself. You will receive a confirmation by email. Store this confirmation carefully. You will need it to register at the registration pillar in the office. Not every office has a reception desk.

Book an appointment in plenty of time. Our offices are usually busy. Bear in mind you may have to wait more than a week for an appointment.

Make an appointment on time

Our offices are usually busy. You may not be able to get an appointment within a week. So make your appointment in plenty of time.

To check availability, follow the same steps as for making an appointment online. You can see what appointment timeslots are available at each location. The number of available timeslots depends on how busy it is. You can make an appointment to visit any KVK office.

To visit KVK, you need to make an appointment. You can choose the office most convenient for you. It does not have to be the office in your region or place of residence. Making an appointment is easy: login to our schedule using DigiD. You can plan your appointment ahead of time, to a maximum of 8 weeks.

We offer consultations via chat, Twitter, or telephone. Our advisers answer all your questions or connect/refer you to a specialist. It is not possible to make an appointment.

It is inconvenient that you cannot schedule an appointment anytime soon. It is currently busy at our locations.

Schedule an appointment and then change it if necessary

Our advice is to still make an appointment by logging in with DigiD. You will receive a confirmation email with a link.

Use this link to also keep checking our website to see whether you can come earlier. It sometimes happens that someone cancels an appointment. This cancellation is immediately visible in our appointment calendar. And we also often open extra desks in the morning, so there are more appointment possibilities on the day.

Make a new appointment

Want to make a new appointment at KVK in the future? Make an appointment online by logging in with DigiD.

Making an appointment and DigiD

At various places on the KVK website, you will find a button to log in with DigiD. If you click it, you get the choice of which way you want to log in. You can choose between the DigiD app and SMS verification. KVK uses DigiD to check your identity. This is so that we know for sure that it is you who is logging in.

With the DigiD app

Install the DigiD app on your mobile phone or tablet. The first time you use the app, you must choose a five-digit security code. Remember this code. Each time you use the DigiD app, you must type it in.

If you log in to KVK.nl using the DigiD app, our website will ask you for a four-letter code. Open the DigiD app on your phone or tablet, ask for such a code and enter these letters on KVK.nl. Then you have to click a button in the DigiD app to approve logging into KVK.nl. After that, you can continue on our website.

With SMS verification

Log in to the DigiD website using your DigiD username and password. There, add your mobile or landline number to your DigiD account and choose login with SMS verification.

If you log on to the KVK.nl website with DigiD, you choose 'With SMS verification'. DigiD will then immediately send you a code in a text message (on your mobile phone) or a spoken message (on your landline telephone). You use this code to log in to KVK.nl.

Apply for DigiD via www.digid.nl. You need your citizen server number (BSN) to apply.

Do you live outside the Netherlands and do not have a DigiD? Check which situation applies to you.

  • I have Dutch nationality. You can apply for a DigiD. The DigiD website tells you how to do this.
  • I do not have the Dutch nationality, but the nationality of a country within the European Economic Area (EEA). First register with the Non-Residents Records Database (RNI). After registration with the RNI, you will immediately receive a citizen service number (BSN) and can apply for a DigiD. The DigiD website tells you how to do this.
  • I have a nationality outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Then you cannot use DigiD. Do you need a DigiD to make an appointment to register your sole proprietorship or general partnership (vof)? If so, please call 088-585 15 85.

There are several reasons why you may see an error message when logging into DigiD,

The DigiD app disconnects if you are inactive for 15 minutes or more. Try to log in again.

Are you still unable to connect? Then go to the DigiD website for more information. There you can check if there is a problem. And you can read more about possible solutions.

If logging in with DigiD continues to fail, please see Logging in with DigiD app or Logging in with SMS verification.

Is it still not working? Watch the DigiD tutorial videos.
